Early Times Report

Jammu, July 22: A lot of damages have been done to the socio-economic fibre of all three regions of Jammu and Kashmir State which also lack development in every sector. In order to bring derailed growth and economy of state back on rails and establish a rule of law lot of efforts are required to be put in, which at least the this coalition government is unable to do for now. This was stated by People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader and Co-ordinator for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency, Abdul Hamid Choudhary who added that forthcoming assembly elections are going to witness 'Battle of Ideologies" towards which party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed's pledge is to ensure equitable development of all three regions of the state. A comparison to other states, he said reveals that Jammu and Kashmir State, instead of progressing by leaps and bounds witnessed steep decline in every sector due to which our industrial sector, education system, agriculture, health and medical education besides infrastructural development have all come to a grinding halt. The rate of unemployed youth has also increased manifold and incumbent government has no plans for them. Dilapidated roads, poorly maintained educational institutions, poor health-care services, fast shrinking agriculture land bank, no new housing colony and rising graph of unemployed youth are all what incumbent government gave to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and now its leaders are trying to mislead people by making false promises once again, he said.
He further said that the coalition partners falling apart ahead of elections is also an indication that nothing was going well in the state over which these political parties differed and finally decided to end their alliance.
The state for the moment is passing through a very sensitive phase and it's the demand of hour that a mature political party which could give people credible government takes over. "People of all three regions of the state irrespective of their cast, creed, region or religion have already rejected this government and have virtually written it off but it's just a matter of time when assembly elections are held and a new credible government is set up. He urged people to strengthen PDP, vote it to power and also allow it to deliver as per their own aspirations", Hamid said.
