| 3 die, 17 injure in road mishaps | | | Baramulla, April 25( At least three persons died and seventeen others were injured eight of them critically in two separate road accidents across the Kashmir valley, on Wednesday, official sources said.
A tipper carrying about eighteen labourers was on its way to Uri met with an accident near Jora village on Baramulla-Uri road, killing three persons on the spot.
Eye witnesses told News Agency of Kashmir that the ill fated tipper fell into a five hundred feet gorge at Jora in the outskirts of border town Uri after the Driver lost control on the vehicle while negotiating a sharp curve.
Three persons including the driver died on the spot, while fifteen others were injured, eight of them critically.
The deceased have been identified as Bagh Hussain Shah, Driver Irshad Ahmed and Manzoor Ahmed. The critically injured persons have been shifted to Srinagar for specialized treatment.
Meanwhile, a Scorpio bearing registration No JK01/ 9311 skidded off the road near Respora Kupwara resulting injuries to two persons on board.
The injured have been identified as Shabir Ahmad Wani son of Mohd Ahsan of Alchizab and Atha Mohd Khan son of Majloon Khan of Halmatpura. The injured have been hospitalized and a Case has been registered in this regard.(NAK)
