| Unemployed engineers, ITI trained to jointly protest at Srinagar | | Demand early absorption as Rehber-e-Tamiraat | | Jammu April 26 All J&K Unemployed Engineers, impressing upon the state government for their demand of absorption in government jobs, said that they along with unemployed ITI Trained (Electricians), will stage protest in the summer capital Srinagar and at the same time reiterated their demand for absorption as Rehber-e-Tamiraat on the pattern of ReTs. Addressing a press conference at Press Club here today, Naresh Kumar general secretary of the Association allegedly said, “the government has turned a blind eye to their genuine issue and none from the concerned quarters has bothered to visit the protest venue to listen the demands.” Further, he blamed the government for deliberately turning deaf ear to the issues of educated unemployed human resources and rued that many trained engineers are on the verge of attaining upper age limit for the government jobs. Several other speakers said that the year’s long unemployment has caused undue frustration as despite holing the technical degrees, they were still without jobs. They also mentioned that many posts are lying vacant and few more can be created by timely promotions to in-service candidates but they fail to understand why the government is not clearing backlog and filling vacancies. Suresh Sharma,Bharat Sharma Ravinder Satti and Iqbal Singh also addressed the pressmen.
