| Two ‘cheaters’ arrested with fake appointment letters | | Looted people in the name of govt jobs | |
Kathua | Apr 26 Kathua police today achieved a major success when they nabbed two persons, who cheated local people in the name of govt jobs and also recovered a large number of fake documents from their possession. According to reports, today police got a tip off that two cheaters, who had duped the people of the area of lakhs of rupees by promising jobs in the Army and issuing fake appointment orders in lieu of huge amount were moving in the area. After getting the information, a police party swung into action and laid a naka in the area, During the checking at Bheni road Billawar by naka party headed by SDPO, Basholi, Mushtaq Choudhary under the close supervision of SSP Kathua arrested the above said persons and recovered some documents from their possession. They have been identified as Mohd Abass son of Abdul Sattar Sheikh and Rafiq Mohd son of Mohd Hussain both resident of Malhar presently putting up at Phinter, Billawar and police took them to police station for further interrogation where they disclosed that they cheated people of the area fraudulently in the name of giving employment by issuing false appointment letters. Thereafter the police party conducted raid at their houses where from some more computerized appointment letters and selection lists were recovered. As the news regarding their arrest speared in the area a large number of people turned to the police station with the complaints of being cheated by these miscreants. During the course of interrogation police got some more important clues regarding the involvement of some govt employees in this regard and their arrests are likely to be made after full interrogation. Police has also registered a case under FIR no 44/2007 under section 420,467,478 RPC at police station Billawar.
