| JKNPP appeals for communal harmony, peace | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 30: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party today appealed to the people of the state to maintain communal harmony and peace against the backdrop of alleged twin 'sacrilegious acts' across Jammu region.
"We appeal to the people to maintain communal harmony and social order so that people of the state may rise to the occasion to ensure statehood for Jammu Pradesh," party chief patron Bhim Singh told reporters here this morning.
He, however, also appealed, the intelligentsia, the youth, the students and social and political activists to defeat the ugly designs of the evil forces who intend to disturb communal harmony and peace with ulterior motive to raise vote bank of the vested interest in question.
He said, "Udhampur Parliamentary constituency has been chosen to disturb peace and harmony in the past two days?" The JKNPP leader also demanded independent enquiry into the disturbances so that the culprits and the rumours mongers are brought to justice without delay. |
