| Unemployed ITI diploma holders stage protest rally | | |
Jammu April 27 Continuing their indefinite protest the unemployed ITI trained electricians under the banner of Unemployed ITI (Electricians) Diploma Holders Association staged a protest march to gather mass support here today on the fifteenth day of their protest. The protestors demanded early absorption as Rehber-e- Bijli on the similar pattern of ReTs. The protestors displaying placards and the banners in favour of their demands against the reluctant and negligent approach towards their genuine problem and marched through the city. Raising slogans in support of their demands and condemning the reluctant attitude of government protestors flayed that none from authorities have even dared to visit and inquire about their problems. Earlier the protestors hailing from various districts including Jammu, Doda Kishtwar assembled at the venue of the indefinite protest from the Office of the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu and started their protest march. Addressing the protestors, Sunil, president of the association and Rakesh representative of unemployed (ITI Trained Electricians) from Jammu highlighted their issues and appealed the chief minister to intervene the matter for early redressal. Speakers namely Sunil Sharma, Rakesh and Amit Sharma highlighted that many trained technicians are standing on the verge of the upper age limit for the selection of government job while many have attained it. Further, they demanded relaxation to those all who are on the verge of upper age limit or have attained it and also asked the government that many posts of electricians are lying vacant in PDD department and should be filled by the unemployed trained electricians. They also condemned the attitude of authorities as even after the eleven days long protest by the protestor no representative from the concerned department and ministry has visited them. Thereafter, the protest rally after passing through various markets of the walled city culminated at the protest venue at Mubarak Mandi Jammu.
