Durga Nagar residents demand park and hygienic surroundings

Jammu April 27
A large number of residents staged a protest at Durganagar here today in support of their demand of a park in their area and also demanded clean and hygienic surroundings for which they alleged municipality has failed to ensure in the area.
Residents flayed the municipal authorities for not maintaining the area and also alleged that it instead of cleaning the locality they had sited a garbage dump just beside their locality. They also appealed the local councilor to take up these issues to the Municipal Authorities for early redressal and accelerate efforts to turn the said area in to the model locality in the respective municipal ward.
They further asked the concerned authorities for maintaining a park in the locality as their as there is no mode of recreation and green spot for morning walkers and for the children of the area to play around.
