| One Dead, 16 injured in road mishaps | | | Srinagar April 27
A minor boy died and fifteen others were injured after the mini Bus they were traveling in turn turtle near Dal Gate area of Srinagar, while two more persons were injured in a separate road accident in Kokernag tehsil of south Kashmir .
Official sources told News Agency of Kashmir that Matador bearing registration number JK01D-8720, turned turtle near Nunkun Park at Nehru Park, resulting injuries to fourteen passengers.
The injured, he said, were rushed to hospital, where one child identified as Muneer Ahmad Kaloo 8, son of Mohammad Shafi, Resident of Kaloo Mohalla Dal Lake succumbed to his injuries. Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident Bashir Ahmad Wani son of Taj-ud-Din Wani, of Mathendo and Raiq Badana son of Bashir Badana, of Raidwani, fell down from a Bus bearing registration number JKE/3043 at Gudiraman area of Kokernag in district Anantnag, resulting in injuries. The injured have been hospitalized, doctors attending them termed their condition as stable.(NAK)
