| Cloudburst creates havoc, temple damaged | | | JAMMU, Aug 1: Overnight rains followed by cloudburst created havoc in this winter capital of the state while a portion of temple got damaged due to calamity.
"Due to overnight rains and cloudburst, a rooftop of Shiva temple got damaged near Chand Nagar area while the structure also developed some cracks," police sources here today said. They further said that people in the adjoining areas had suffered losses as items worth lakhs got perished in the water due to heavy rains. Meanwhile senior administrative officials have rushed to the spot and assessed the situation. |
