| Restore regular water supply or face consequences, Randhawa | | |

BJP Gandhi Nagar Mandal led by its President Ch.Vikram Randhawa, held a protest demonstration at Narwal Chowk here today against irregular supply of drinking water and electricity and gheraoed the Assistant Executive PHE’s office. Hundreds of party activists who had gathered at the Narwal chowk were raising slogans ‘Bijli Do- Paani-Do’.
The Mandal President in his address said while the residents of Dungian, Ratti, Sarari, Shanker Nagar, Guru Ten Bahadur Nagar and other areas of Gandhi Nagar Mandal have not been supplied even a drop of drinking water for the last ten days at the same time there is no shortage for influential people living in the areas like Bhatindi. He gave two days ultimatum to the concerned department to restore regular supply failing which the BJP activists will launch an agitation and will not allow the PHE and PDD officials to move out of their offices, the party handout said..
Rajiv Charak, Rajesh Kumar, Tarsem Lal, Ashok Dutta, Madan Lal Dubey, Yashpaul Singh, R P Singh, Kulwant Kour, Harnam Kour and Satwant Kour were among others who took part in the protest demonstration.
