Four bovine smugglers arrested with 16 bovines

Udhampur police today arrested three bovine smugglers along with 16 bovines when they were on way to Srinagar to deliver the bovines who were loaded in two trucks. According to reports today police booked specific information of smuggling the bovines in the area after got the information a police party from Udhampur police station led by SHO Jagdev Singh laid a naka in the area and start checking the vehicles during checking the vehicles police stooped two trucks no JK03/8214 and JK03/ 4413 who were on way Jammu to Srinagar and recovered 16 bovines from the two trucks and arrested three persons namely Mohd Iqbal son of Mohd Ramzan and Riaz Ahmed son of Mohd Ramzan both resident of Srinagar and Abdul Gani son of Noor Ali resident of Battalballain and police took them to police station for further interrogation where they told that they were involved in the smuggling from last many years. Police has also registered a case in this regard and investigating the matter.
