| RJML Society felicitates Davinder Singh Rana | | | Jammu | April 28
Rasa Javedani Memorial Society (RJML) - Art foundation Urdu wing in collaboration with Centre for Professional studies in Urdu university of Jammu under the leadership of Dr. Shohab Inayat Malik President RJML Society felicitated Davinder Singh Rana M.L.C. today.
Dr. Rafiq Masoodi, Secretary Academy of Art, culture and Languages was the chief guest on this occasion, while Prof. Amitabh Mattoo, Vice chancellor Jammu University presided over the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Amitabh Mattoo described Davinder Singh Rana a personality par excellence and said that such persons are the assets for the society who always work for the welfare of deserving and needy. He appreciated the role played by Rana through Take one Channel for the redressal of grievances. He also lauded RJML society for honoring a right person at right time.
Davinder Singh Rana while speaking on this occasion lauded the RJML society for promoting art and culture in the state. RJML Society rendering tremendous service for the upliftment of literature and rich culture of J&K and he felt honored that reputed literary organization of the country honored him and he assured the audience that he will raise the issues of art and culture in the state legislative council.
DR. Shohab Malik, president RJML society described Rana as the son of the soil who had brought several laurels to the state of J&K in Various capacities .RJML Society facilitated Rana with Dastar Bandee and Shawl .He was also awarded with the prestigious Rasa Javedani Annual award for his outstanding contribution in the field of culture and journalism. R. K. Bharti presented the vote of thanks.
Prominent among those who were present on this occasion were Dr. P.S. Pathania (DSW) JU, Prof. N.R. Sharma , Balwant Thakur, Kailash Mehra , Prof. R.K. Mishra, Gohar Fani, Sajid Kishtwari and Dr. Tamkeen Kishtwari.
