A great resentment has been brewing up among the public of the town with regard to dilapidated condition of lanes in main town of the district.
The condition of the lanes become worst due to laying of water pipes by the PHE department some time back and no repair work was carried out of the concerned agencies nor municipal department of the area took any interest in this regard. Beside this Jammu-Poonch road, which pass through the town is full of ditches. The worst effected is the main market.
The Nullah flowing nearby the Bus Stand is full of dirt and garbage that flows down to it from the upper hinter land. The nullah has never been desalted and cleaned as a result of which it emits four smell, pollution and health problems in the entire vicinity of densely populated are of ward No. 11.
