| Sashastra Seema Bal Jawans celebrate Rakshabandhan | | |

BATOTE, Aug 10: As many as 40 jawans of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) 42Bn today celebrated the Rakshabandhan at their campus here by getting the Rakhies tied on their wrists by as many girl students of the local schools here.In a small but impressive function the Commandant, SSB 42Bn, Sham Kapoor was also tied a rakhi on his wrist by a girl student.
The girl students from the Sanatan Dharam Sabha and Kids Avenue Convent School were led by their ten teachers. Speaking on the occasion, Commandant Kapoor expressed his pleasure in organizing the maiden Rakshabhandan function here and underlined the importance of similar get-together functions for a better camaraderie between the civilians and the security forces. He called the festival a pious opportunity when the jawans can bond with the local girls or ladies in a brother-sister relationship and reaffirm their vow or pledge for their safety and welfare.
He said that the locals can visit their doctor-a lady doctor, at any time for the medical consultation.
He said that in near future the SSB would grant scholarships to some local meritorious students. On the occasion a party was also organized for the students by the SSB, 42 Bn.
