Residents hold protest, seek repairing of road

KATHUA, Aug 10: Demanding repairing of dilapidated roads, the residents of the Govindsar and surrounding areas today held protest against district administration.
The scores of residents under the leadership of Col retired, PL Choudhary were gathered in Kathua to express their resentment.
They said that negligence on the part of District administration would claims lives if road not repaired. "The district is sleeping and danger has prevailed in the area. Industrial road is totally dug for the construction of nallah due to which except one outgoing point of the road all points are blocked", they said, adding that a culvert was constructed where 11KV electric cable was also laid down.
"Said portion has immersed in water, where electrocution can develop any times. Before, coming up of any tragic tragedy and loss of human life, District administration should take immediate step so that any odd situation could be curbed, they added.The residents also alleged that the material used in construction of culvert was substandard that might claim human lives.
