| Man stabbed over alleged gang rivalry | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 10 : In an alleged gang war, a 30 year-old man was severely stabbed at Gorkha Nagar falling under the jurisdiction of Bagh-e-Bahu, this evening. Police identified the victim as Rattan Bahudur (30) son of Peka Ram of Gorkha Nagar. Police sources said that Rattan was going somewhere and he was intercepted by a group who stabbed him with sharp-edged weapons. Police sources further added that assailants managed to escape leaving the victim in a pool of blood.
Victim was immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) where doctors stated his condition as very critical. Police sources further said "he received around 12 stabs and his liver has totally damaged due to stabs", Police said that earlier Rattan was associated with a gangster Vicky Gorkha who attacked RoshanThappa alias Kallu few months ago.
"To take revenge, RoshanThappa alias Kallu and Mantu attacked Rattan", said sources adding that both Kallu and Vicky have so many pending criminal cases.
Police have detained some suspects in this connection in this connection.
