| Spell of political coercion will end soon’ | | Political solution round the corner: Baig | | Srinagar, Apr 29: former deputy chief minister Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senior leader Muzaffar Hussain Baig today observed that the spell of political coercion in Kashmir will end soon as its resolution is round the corner. "Kashmir is a sheer political issue and can only be resolved politically. Let me tell you, its resolution is round the corner," Baig underscored. Addressing huge public meetings at Ajjas and Sundarwani Bandipora Kashmir, Baig accrediting his party for bring a sea change in state polity, asserted that right from the inception of the party People’s Democratic Party (PDP) the party has maintained that political exploitation and muscle-power cannot resolve the long-standing Kashmir issue. He said during the past four years, Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed unprecedented change on the political and economic front. Baig said that the PDP believes in a dignified solution to the Kashmir issue. “And the coalition government led by Mufti Muhammad Sayeed brought a new era of peace, development and prosperity to the state, the result of which the whole world will see soon." "There has been a visible improvement in the ground situation. Now there is no fear psychosis, no nocturnal raids and people are feeling secure," Baig said. Speaking on the occasion, senior PDP leader Nizamuddin Bhat and MLC demanded Tribal Block and Tehsil Status to Ajjas and demanded water supply schemes for Ajjas and Sunderwani Bandipora also to give respite from their basic problems.
