JCO killed in accidental firing

JAMMU,April 29—
A Junior commissioned officer Subedar P K Katoch was killed in the border district of Rajouri near Kalakote on sunday morning as a result of accidental fire by another fellow soldier.
According to defence spokesman of the Indian army, “a junior commissioned officer (JCO) Subedar PK Katoch received bullet inujuries due to accidental firing early sunday morning in their unit.
It is learnt through official sources that some other jawans were busy servicing their weapons when the accident took place in Kalakote.
"The army officer was immediately rushed to the nearby military hospital but he succumbed to his injuries, spokesman said.
A court of inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the truth, defence spokesman said.
