| Charak inspects repair, renovation work of Archives, Dogra Art Museum | | | JAMMU, AUGUST 7 Minister for State for R&B Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak today visited Mubarak Complex to inspect the ongoing repair and renovation work of Archives and Dogra Art Museum buildings. During his visit, Mr. Charak asked the engineers of PWD to complete repair and renovation work of Archives and Dogra Art Museum buildings in double shifts so that the 800 years old records are not damaged. He also directed the Chief Engineers R&B to personally visit the complex and asked the executed agencies to complete work within stipulated time frame. He said that the government has sanctioned Rs. 28. 66 lakh for repair and renovation of both the buildings. He directed the authorities of Archives to shift 6 lakhs old files in safer places. Later, he also inspected the buildings of PSC and other office buildings and asked the engineers to prepare the estimate of those buildings who are in dilapidated condition so that repair and renovation work of these buildings would be renovated. Earlier, the Minister visited at Government College of Engineering and Technology to inspect the ongoing construction work of the college complex. The accompanied Managing Director JKPCC Mr. Iftikhar Shah apprised the Minister about the construction and said that the complex is being constructed by JKPCC at an estimated cost of Rs. 78 crore over a land area measuring 110 acres. He also informed the Minister that the facilities would be provided there on the completion of construction work which include staff car parking, lecturers room, administration section, Library, staff room, kitchen with dinning hall. |
