Foundation Stone of GA Ganai Memorial school laid

A Non Resident Indian, Sati Lal laid the foundation stone of “G.A Ganai Memorial School” at Saikloo-Mandi here today.
The school will be of one of its kind in the area which is going to be beneficial for the people of this far flung area.
Besides this Sati Lal also inaugurated four vocational centres (Cutting and Tailoring ) one each at Loran, Alla-peer, Arai and Mandi and gave certificates to the students, who completed their course from vocational training centres run by the society. He also distributed blankets and household items among the poor, orphans and widows.
Sati Lal, while addressing the gathering lauded the role being played by GA Memorial Society in the area and also appealed everyone present on the occasion to strengthen the hands of the society so that the objectives of the society “To help the poor, drown trodden and weaker section of the society” are achieved.
Disst. Dev Commissioner, G.S. Pachnanda, who was the guest of honour appreciated the society and its management for their keen interest in resolving and mitigating the miseries of the people of the area.
A colourful cultural programme was presented by the students of different schools of Mandi and VTC center of the society. Pardeep Khanna and his team from Saraswati Kala Kendra enthralled the audience with their performances.
Addl. Dev Commissioner (Poonch), Tehsildar, B.D.O. and their important functionaries of local Administration besides prominent citizens of the area were present on the occasion. Hanifa Begum, president of the society thanked all the people present on the occasion.
