| Jammu, Aug 22: National Panthers Students Union (NPSU) lambasted state as well as central government for appeasing Kashmiri people and ignoring the nationalist and patriotic youth of Jammu whether it is jobs, scholarships, loan schemes or compensations. Addressing the press conference Thakur Virender Singh said that the people of Jammu had a hope with the NDA led government but even after the formation of this government policies are being framed for the people of Kashmir and no heed being paid to the plights of the youth of Jammu. Thakur said that immediate after the formation of government at center SBI issued notification for the recruitment only for Kashmiri speaking people ignoring the youth of Jammu. Not only this government has framed policies for unemployment youth of Kashmir where Jammuites got only 5% share, 35 scholarships for Kashmiries, added Thakur. He further added that NPP had filed a petition in the Supreme Court of India against 500 militants illegally invited through Nepal and there after central as well as state government is hell bent to compensate them and provide jobs to them. Thakur also took serious note of the notification issued by the DM Udhampur, which debars the legal and democratic rights of public. He said that DM Udhampur is hell bent to suppress the genuine voice of public. Meanwhile, NPSU warned state government to take initiative and order DM Udhampur to revoke the controversial and anti-democratic notification debarring the general public to raise their voice against discrimination and served ultimatum of 2nd days to revoke the said order or else NPSU will be left with no other options than to launch a massive agitation. |
