| Manjit inaugurates Jakh higher secondary school | | | JAMMU, MAY 01 Minister of State for School Education Mr. Manjit Singh today inaugurated newly upgraded Government Higher Secondary School Jakh. Addressing gathering, Minister asked the teacher fraternity to provide quality education to the students so that the students bring good results. He said the quality of the youth is directly dependent on the quality in education. Our students have proved that in every field of knowledge and skill they are comparable to the best in the world, provided they were given right education and training. He said that goal of school education can be realized only when we provide opportunities to all students to develop their talent to the fullest. He divulged that the present government is making tireless efforts to provide quality education and open new education institutions at their doorsteps. He appealed the parents to send their wards in the school so that they become a good citizen of the country. He stated that teaching and learning is the central to the purpose of School Education. Institutions have the responsibility to see good teaching and learning take place and also to ensure that standards are high and continuously improved and best practices are effectively shared. He said that as a noble and nation building exercise the teachers have to acquire the knowledge and skills to perform their duties effectively and efficiently. Mr. Singh said that youth are the prime resource of the country. The development of the country rests squarely on the shoulders of the youth. He said that parents are another important stakeholders of the school education. They are really concerned about the quality of the institution, as it would ensure the future of their wards. Earlier, the students of the school presented colourful cultural programme on the occasion. Secretary School Education Mr. K. M. Wani, Chairman J&K State Board of School Education Mr. Nissar Ahmed Ganai, Director School Education Mr. A. K. Raina, Chief Education Officer, Jammu Mr. H. R. Dubey, other senior officers, locals and staff members were present.
