DDC convenes officers meeting at Bhadarwah

District Development Commissioner, Doda Mr. Sourabh Bhagat has exhorted upon the District/sectoral officers to work in synergic manner in their respective jurisdiction and effectively tackle the public problems besides ensuring timely completions of welfare schemes so as to satiate the urges and aspirations of the people.
The DDC was addressing a joint meeting of the district and Sub-Divisions officers at Bhaderwah the other day held to take stock of the development scenario in the Sub- Division. This meeting was also a part of the exercise of the district administration to focus full attention on speeding the pace of development works.
He announced formation of Sub-Division level monitoring committee headed by the SDM Bhadarwah and also comprising other members for checking the status of development works intervely in the areas and sought cooperation form the citizens in this regard.
Threadbare discussions were held for accelerating the execution of the development works taken up under Bhadarwah Development Authority for tourism infrastructure, roads widening from Pul-Doda to Bhadawah, completion of vehicular and foot bridges in the area and link roads around the township.
Earlier, enroute from Doda, the DDC along with engineers and other functionaries inspected a number of ongoing schemes which included link roads adjacent to main road, bridges at Bhalla Chakrabati, status of under construction tourist infrastructure at Khilani-Top, tourist reception center, fish pond at Ghatta village and widening of Bhadarwah town road..
A large number of deputations met the DDC during the visit at sites and listed demands for solution purposes which included augmentation of WSS, power connectivity, installation of transformer at Baloto-Kellar areas, release of funds for completing the various under construction school buildings and repair/renovation of local irrigation canals.
The DDC after hearing the public demands asked the concerned authorities to look into the matter and initiate measures to sort out the same.
