| Jora asks to install electronic meters expeditiously | | | RAJOURI, MAY 01 Minister for Power Mr Nawang Rigzin Jora asked the officers of Power Development Department to expedite the installation of electronic meters in the towns and ensure hundred percent motorization of installation in Rajouri town within a period of three months and make all efforts to regularize the illegal connections to minimize power pilferage. The Minister was addressing on officers meeting held here in the conference hall today to review the performance of the department during the last financial year. He said for prompt installation the department must take in confidence of the prominent people to avoid any inconvenience. The Minister was accompanied by Chief Engineers, EM&RE Wing Jammu, Superintending Engineer, EM&RE Circle-II, Xen THCD-I Jammu and Executive Engineer Electrical Division Rajouri was also present in the meeting. While reviewing the achievements made under this sector the Minister was informed that the department has realized a service of Rs.1305.44 lakh as against the target of Rs.1430 lakh during the current financial year. This revenue included Rs.165.168 lakh as domestic fair, Rs.33.279 lakh as commercial, Rs.34.053 lakh from industries, Rs.628.672 lakh as state, Rs.439.524 lakh from centre and Rs.4.665 lakh as miscellaneous. The Minister was further informed that 33/11 KV receiving station and 6.3 MVA receiving stations at Fatehpur, 3.15 MVA receiving station at Palma, 6.3 MVA receiving station at Phall are at the advance stage of completion and will be completed by the end of June 2007.
