| Panchayat Badala people victim of PDD's apathy | | | Early Times Report
Kathua , Aug 27 : Power Development Department's (PDD's) negligence has caused inconvenience to the people of Panchayat Badala as transformer is not installed so far that resulted a massive protest demonstration in front of PDD at Kathua here today.
While leading the protest, Sarpanch of Panchayat Badala accused the PDD for causing unnecessary harassment to the people of the Panchayat Badala with bogus assurances to install the transformer which had been out of order for the last more than fifteen days to force the people ti live without electricity.
He alleged that the PDD has been informed about the problem so many times but failed to act timely and triggered the people to hold protest demonstration against the PDD. He alleged that an employee of the PDD told me that repaired transformer which was meant for our Panchayat was given to other area on the direction of DC Kathua while the big population of the Panchayat Badala which has been suffering from power crisis for more than fifteen days. XEN, PDD in his respond he rejected all allegations of the Sarpanch and said the transformer is not given to other area and it is promised to install within a day in Badala Panchayat. |
