| 58 roads proposed to be covered under Bharat Nirman Programme in Pulwama | | | Srinagar | August 7
Under the ambitions Bharat Nirman programme, 58 roads are to covered in Pulwama district to provide better connectivity to the people living in various areas in district. Under the programme, areas having population of 200 families are being connected with towns and other urban areas so that better civic and other ambitious are available to the people.
This was stated at an officers meeting held here today to review the implementation of the project in the district with District Development Commissioner in chair.
The meeting decided constitution of the core group comprising officials from Roads and Buildings, Revenue, Horticulture and Forest Department to undertake survey of the proposed roads to be covered under the programme. The group was asked to submit report within a week’s time. These findings will then be submitted to the competent authority for sanction.
Speaking on the occasion the District Development Commissioner impressed upon all the concerned agencies to actively work in co-ordination. |
