| Young house wife commits suicide | | |

A young house wife today committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in village Dumi Sobka in Akhnoor.
According to reports, a young housewife namely Pooja Devi, wife of Parshtom Kumar of Dumi Sobka fell unconscious after consuming some poisonous substance in her home in the absence of family members. On return, family members spotted her in unconscious condition and took her to Akhnoor Hospital for treatment.
Taking note of her serious condition, doctors referred her to GMC. But, she succumbed mid way and was later shifted for postmortem. Meanwhile, Police has taken the cognizance of the case and registered a case in this regard. The reason behind the suicide was not ascertained when report last came in.
