Locals stage protest march; demand 'implementation of SRO-123'

Udhampur, Aug 30: Wearing black badges and armlets to register their resentment aginst delay in implanting SRO 123, protestors under the leadership of social activist Ajaz Sumberiya demanded support for implementing education affordable to all sections of the society.The protestors assembled at Omara Morh at National Highway Udhampur and started their protest march in support of their demand. Addressing the protestors, Sumberiya demanded from state government to implement Right to Education Act (Amendment 2013), to implement SRO-123 , to bring reforms in education sector to make education affordable to every section of society including private institutions and Govt institutions as well. Sumberiya added that its need of the time to streamline the present education system. He said that massive campaign shall be started to seek public support besides generating awareness among masses by holding protests.
