| IAF organizes children’s quiz competition | | |
UDHAMPUR, MAY 03
As a part of on-going celebrations on the occasion of Indian Air Force Platinum Jubilee, a quiz competition was organized at Air Force Station, Udhampur for school children of service personnel and civilians.
Station Commander, Group Captain G. Amar Babu inaugurated the competition.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Babu appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee for the planning and conduct of quiz competition. He appreciated the participants including for their involvement and active participation.
Including host of Military dignitaries and parents attended the function with great enthusiasm being held at the Station’s Sports ground which was a big boost to the pride of children participating in the event.
A total of 83 children participated in the initial screening test, Of these, 32 children were shortlisted to compete in four categories.
President, Air Force Wives Welfare Association, Air Force Station, Udhampur, Mr. Narmada Babu gave away the prizes to the winners.
Earlier, this Station had organized a cycle expedition to Wagah Border in December 6, 2006 and Trekking expedition in Himachal Pradesh in March, 2007.
