| Ban on dumping, entry of heavy vehicles | | | UDHAMPUR, MAY 03 The District Magistrate, Udhampur, Mr. O. P. Kalandria has imposed ban on dumping of all types of construction material on the public parks, linking roads and National Highways etc. throughout the territorial jurisdiction of district Udhampur. The ban has been imposed to ensure smooth vehicular traffic flow, avoid accidents and inconvenience to pedestrians in general. All the officers of Revenue, Police and Municipal Agencies would ensure implementation of this order in letter and spirit. The public in general has been informed through this notice to lift all type of construction material dumped on road sides immediately, failing which they would be dealt under law and the material so dumped would be confiscated. The order shall have immediate effect and would remain in force for two months. In a similar order issued under section 144 Cr. P.C. the District Magistrate, Udhampur has imposed ban on entry of heavy vehicles i.e. trucks, buses, tippers, heavy loan carriers and Army 3-ton vehicles in the main city, Udhampur (Dabbar Chowk) from 8 A.M. to 9 P.M. The order would remain in force for a period of two months with immediate effect. Meanwhile vehicles belonging to Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department would be exempted from this order.
