| Unemployed engineers demand early absorption as Rehber-e-Tamiraat | | |
Jammu April 26 All J&K Unemployed Engineers on the28th consecutive day of their protest today stressed upon the state government for their absorption in government jobs on the pattern of Rehbar-e-Tamiraat. Addressing the protesting engineers, Naresh Kumar general secretary of the association allegedly said, “the government has turned a blind eye to their genuine issues and none from the concerned quarters has bothered to visit the protest venue and to listen to our demands.” He blamed the government that it is deliberately turning deaf ear to the issues of educated unemployed human resources. He rued that many trained engineers are on the verge of attaining upper age limit for the government job. Speakers said that the year’s long unemployment has forced many of them into undue frustration for their future prospects despite holing the technical degrees. They also mentioned that many posts are lying vacant and few can be created by timely promotions to in-service candidates but they fail to understand why the government is not clearing backlog and filling vacancies.
