EARLY TIMES REPORTER UDHAMPUR | AUGUST 7 A meeting of Congress workers of the District was held at Tikri under the chairmanship of working president Krishan Chand Bhagat, Yash Pal Khajuria Ex-Minister and PCC Vice president was the chief guest. According to press release the meeting reviewed the pace of developmental activities and the problems of the people in the district of Udhampur. The members in the meeting urged for immediate repaid of Udhampur-Bomal road, Chenani-Patangarh road and other link roads, which got damaged due to heavy rains. In the meeting Khajuria urged the Govt. and revenue agency to assess the loss caused to the houses and crops due to rain. He demanded to provide immediate relief and shelter to those who have completely lost their houses and were living under open sky during this rainy season. He also urged upon the government to provide belching powder, Chlorine tablets etc. to the people for purifying the drinking water. Beside this he urged the government for giving priority to the promotion of tourism, agriculture and horticulture in the area.
