| Coalition govt. has failed on all fronts: Sheikh Bashir | | |
Jammu | May 3 “Coalition government in the state has failed miserably on all fronts and has lost its credibility,” said vice president of National Conference, Sheikh Bashir Ahmad, while addressing series of meetings at Badnota, Malhar and Lohai in Bani Assembly constituency of district Kathua. He was on a week long tour of three remote and hilly areas of the district on foot. Bashir said, the present government is plying with student community, and added that government has failed to provide requisite teaching and non-teaching staff to higher secondary school at Badnote, Malhar and Lohai. He said number of primary and middle schools of the area are without any teaching staff, due to which precious time of the student community is getting wasted. He said, Middle school Lohai has become fair weather school as there is no room for the students and three to four classes are being clubbed daily. Bashir said Billawar-Katli road is in a dilapidated condition and is not fit for even pedestrians to walk. The transporters are crying and no body is going to listen them beside road from Sukrala Devi to Machhadi is also in a very bad condition and there is every possibility of any mishap. He impressed upon the district administration to take remedial measures immediately so that people are not forced to adopt harsh measures to address their grievances.
