| 5 teenagers rescued from clutches of militants: Police | | | Srinagar May 05 Jammu and Kashmir Police claimed to have rescued five teen aged boys from the clutches of militants, when they were being taken across the border for arms training. Quoting Senior Superintendent of Police Kupwara, an official spokesman told News Agency of Kashmir that the boys were taken into custody by a joint team of army and police at Drugmulla, late last night. The boys in the age group of 16 to 18 were being taken to Dudi Machil where from they were planning to exfiltrate to Pakistan occupied Kashmir for arms training, the spokesman added. He said that the police was having specific information that a group of five youth, motivated by one Rahid Wani son of Mohd Shafi Wani of Qazi Bagh Mattan Adda Anantnag, were planning to exflitrate from Dudi Machil. "Accordingly a Naka was laid and boys were rescued from the clutches of the militants:, he added. The boys have been identified as Majid Khan son of Gull Mohd Khan of Reshi Bazar Anantnag, Umar Bashir Shah son of Bashir Ahmad Shah of Kadipora Anantnag, Wasim Raza Sathoo son of Bashir Ahmad Sathoo of New Qazi Bagh Anantnag, Amir Syed son of Muhammad Syed of Reshi Bazar Anantnag and Rouf Ahmad Sheikh son of Abdul Hamid Sheikh of Kadipora, Anantnag.
