| 2 kgs RDX, maps recovered from a Punjab bound bus | | | Jammu, May 05 Police today claimed to have foiled a bid by militants to carry out attacks in Jammu region after it seized an unclaimed bag containing RDX, besides some incriminating documents and video CD's from a Punjab bound passenger bus near Kathua. Reports reaching here revealed that on specific inputs from Army Intelligence, a police party laid a Naka at Kala Bari area of Kathua district on Jammu Pathankote National Highway. Sources said that on searching the bus police recovered an unclaimed bag containing 2 Kilogram RDX in a six by six transformer, fitted with a battery, besides a map of Reasi area, four Video CDs and a pair of clothes. A senior Police officer said that after receiving inputs from Army intelligence about militant movement from the neighbouring state, a Naka was laid near Lakhanpur, which intercepted the bus and made the recovery. Police has launched a manhunt in the area to arrest the man identified by the conductor.
