| Sheep Husbandry deptt set up first aid camps | | | JAMMU, MAY 05 In order to cater the veterinary first aid to transhumance, the Sheep Husbandry Department, Jammu has intensified its activities by way of setting up of veterinary first aid camps on various migratory routes. For this purpose, different organizations of the department have established 76 first aid camps at various points of the migratory routes at all the six districts of Jammu province to provide necessary treatment for various ailments in sheep and goats. Giving details, the Director Sheep Husbandry Department, Jammu, Dr. B.R. Bhagat enjoined the field staff to ensure the functioning of all the first aid camps effectively to render all possible assistance to the flock owners enroute so that the hardships, if any, confronted by the flock owners during the migration may be got addressed properly and directed that adequate quota of required medicines of first aid be made available at the first aid camps to provide the necessary coverage to the needy and the first aid camps would remain functional round the clock untill the upward migration is over. The Director further stressed upon the staff engaged with the first aid camps to ensure punctuality at these camps and try their level best to avoid any delinquency.
