On the World Red Cross Day, falling on May 8, the Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu district, has decided to organize a special function at Abbinav Theatre here on this day.
The Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Pramod Jain will be chief guest at the function to be held on May 8 at 10 AM.
The Red Cross Society has appealed all those who are directly or indirectly associated or working for the welfare of others, heads of various departments, patrons, vice patrons, life members, volunteers and prominent citizens to participate in the function.
Dinesh Gupta, Executive Secretary of he Society, has also appealed the members, who have enrolled but not received their membership certificates to collect the same after the program is over. He said the entry will be free for all and no separate invitation would be needed to attend the program.
