| Dr Rohit elected as president IMO (Jammu) | | |

Jammu Chapter of Indigenous Medicines Organization (IMO) elected its new executives for the next term of office. Dr Rohit Gupta has been unanimously elected as president of the IMO Jammu chapter during a meeting held on the other day.
After the formal nominations the newly eleted body chaired the meeting in which members conveyed their gratitude to the minister for Health and Medical Education Mangat Ram Sharma and Secretary Health K B Jandial for inclusion of left over names in the seniority list. They also demanded that there should be no bar of qualification i.e. the Diploma of Hospital Administration for the post of the Medical Superintendent.
Other demands highlighted on the occasion included minimum Gazatteed services of 20-25 years mandatory for the post of Deputy Director and Director ISM; atleast 15 years services for the post of ADMO as in health department and separate directorate of ISM for the both regions viz Jammu and Kashmir.
During the meeting other executives elected during this meeting were Dr Anil Kant Gupta as general secretary whereas Dr Ashok Kumar and Dr Rajiv Sharma were elected as senior vice president and vice president respectively. Dr Ashok Sharma also has been elected as vice president while Dr K K Sharma has been elected as organizing secretary, Dr Man Singh as publicity secretary and Dr Mahesh Sharma as treasurer and Dr Sarita Gupta as secretary.
