Natrang club stages “Baki Sab Khair Hai”
5/6/2007 11:44:01 PM

Jammu | May 6
Natrang Children’s Club presented a new play ‘Baki Sab Khair Hai’ (Rest is Alright) written by Hindi play wright Susheel Kumar and directed by Deepak Virdhi.
The play opens in a Children park, where Gandhi Ji’s three monkey’s are shown as statues overlooking the park activities. The writer has shown these monkeys as living creatures, who despite being known for not to listen, speak and watch, perform these activities.
In their quest for a picnic being escorted by a battery of teachers, these teachers instead of attending to the children, are busy in their own petty politics, all the time ready to dislodge each other. This follows the entry of a group of youth to the park, badly searching for a safe hideout. Finally, they also find these three monkeys of Gandhi Ji as on of the safest place to do illegal activities. Though these monkeys have pledged not to show their visibility but on watching all these disturbing happenings around, one of them if the public comes to know they are living they will be sent to a circus. On this they find better to be the way they are not to hear, not to see and not to speak. This is how for everyone ‘rest will always be all right’.
The child artists who participated in the play included Sahitya Sharma, Moksh Veer, Pankul Arora, as three monkies of Gandhi Ji Kibria Nasir, Prachika Kanotra, Arushi Gupta, Aavishi Arora, Sunalika Jain as teachers, Ankul Arora, Rishab Gupta, Akshaj Rohmetra, Neelanjali Kanotra, Rudra Pratap Singh, Aryaman Plaser, Amish Rohmetra, Somaditya Singh as school students, and Sanchit Singh Wazir, Rishab Dev Singh, Rishab Gupta, Rohit Verma as College students. The play was assisted by Mohit Sharma, Kamaljeet Kour, and Rohit Verma. The show was executed under the supervision of Neeraj Kant.
According to Natrang Director, Balwant Thakur, Natrang is going to extend Children activities as full-fledged ‘Arts-in Education’ wing is being started by Sumit Sharma.
