| Dilawar distributes awards among golf winners | | |
Srinagar, May 07
–Minister for Tourism, PHE and Irrigation, Mr. Mohammad Dilawar Mir gave away prizes among the Tag Hever Gold Tournament winners here yesterday evening. The 3rd tournament was played at Royal Springs Golf Course. Ms Priyanka Chopra film actress was also present on the occasion.
Mr. Mubarik Rah wad declared winner in 0-1 category while Megna Bal became the runner up. In 11-20 category, Alok Gupta was declared winner while R. K. Dhawan became the runner up.
In longest distance, Ms Megna Bal. Adjudged winner.
Later, addressing on the occasion, the Minister hoped that golfers who participated in the tournament would prove as ambassadors of Jammu and Kashmir across the state. He said such ambassadors prove fruitful for promotion of tourism constituting mainstay of our economy.
The management of Tag Hever expressed gratitude to the state government for extending full support in organizing the golf tournament. She also lauded the hospitality of the people of Kashmir, they enjoyed during their stay here.
