| Neel Top, Pogal Paristan are untouched, neglected: PTU | | | Jammu May 7 Sewa Singh Bali, state joint secretary, Panthers Trade Union (PTU)-J&K after conducting a tour in Ramban constituency has alleged that picturesque areas namely Neel Top, Ukhral, Magarkot and others are still neglected in the development spheres and people are facing problems in the absence of basic amenities. Addressing a press conference, Sewa Singh Bali told the media persons that during his tour a series of delegations had called upon him at various places and apprised him of their problems. Ironically, Pongal Paristan, Neel Top and other adjoining areas are deprived of modern health, telecommunication, tourism, education sectors and road networking, he regretted and added, “How the people are living in poor infrastructure.” Bali demanded immediate installation of telephone, TV towers and road connectivity in Gogoni, Chadous, Gagarnarg, Ramsoo, Hewagan, Kouchi, Adhal, Kote, Khourilal, Pogal, Hunga, Senabati and Ramban. During the press conference, he also informed that to register their protest they had organized a protest demonstration on May 1, at Magarkot and will block the highway to highlight their demands. Bali and other speakers of PTU, who spoke in this press conference earnestly asked the state government that it should not only procure basic infrastructure including road connectivity but also need to endeavour to tap the tourism potential of the areas under rural tourism promotion schemes so as to being them on tourist map.
