| JCCB mourns death of manager, driver | | |
Jammu May 7 Jammu Central Cooperative Bank (JCCB) Limited has condoled the tragic demise of the two bank employees, who died in a road accident at Jhajjhar Kotli. A condolence meeting was organized under the chairmanship of M S Tariq chairman of the bank here today to mourn the deaths. An official statement said that the bank officers recalled their association with late Ashok Rawal Manager Gr-1(Loans) and Baldev Singh, driver who were posted at Udhampur. In their tributes the speakers described late Ashok Rawal an officer with distinct qualities, honest and kind enough to stand with the poor and needy. They also recalled Baldev Singh as a humble and gentle soul. A silence of two minutes was also observed to pay homage to the departed souls who died in a tragic road accident here this morning at Jhajjar Kotli. Chairman of the bank M S Tariq and others speakers conveyed their heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families. Those who conveyed their condolences included Karam Chand Gupta vice chairman, Surjit Singh, Haji Mahad Joo, Ranjit Singh, Jai Singh, Harmesh Sharma, Capt Behari Singh, Kimti Lal, Om Parkash Sharma, Altaf Hussain Shah, Javed Iqbal Malik and Imtiaz Hussain.
