| Youth murdered in marriage function | | |
Jammu | May 7—
In a shocking incident, a youth was murdered in a marriage function in Chinore, where he had gone to attend the function. According to reports, last night a barat had come from Samba to Chinore at Invitation banquet hall.
During the function, Raju son of Jai Singh resident of Keli Mandi, Samba attacked one Anil Singh son of Jwala Prasad resident of same area with a sharp edged weapon.
Anil was grievously injured in the attack and he was taken to the hospital after the incident by police. The youth however breathed his last in the morning as he did not respond to the treatment. Police has registered a case and is investigating the matter. Old enmity is stated to be the cause behind the murder, sources said.
