| Militant killed in Bhaderwah | | |

A militant of LeT outfit was today killed by police in an encounter at Qilla Mohalla Bhaderwah in Doda Distt.
According to reports today, police booked a specific information of some militants hiding in the house of Zahoor Ahmed s/o Late Ab Rehman (Brother of killed militant Zuber Ahmed) r/o Qilla Mohalla Bhaderwah.
After booking the information, a joint search operation was launched by Police, Army and CRPF. The party cordoned off the suspected house and started search. On seeing the ops party, the wife of said Zahoor Ahmed namely Baby Begum informed the militant about the movement of police, on which former hiding there threw grenades on the ops party. The ops party repulsed the attack and retaliated in self defence and in the ensuing encounter said militant got killed. His identity was established as Irshad Ahmed Khan @ Nasir Balouch s/o Ab Rashid Khan, r/o Sungli, Bhaderwah. The party recovered two grenades and one UBGL from his possession.
