| MC Kathua conducts drive against adulterated milk | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Sept 19: As part of the drive initiated by Municipal Council Kathua against the adulterated milk a special team conducted surprise checking of milk supplied in the market here on Friday.
Municipal Council Food Inspector Subash Raina along with staff members conducted a surprise inspection in market and checked the quality of milk supplied by the milk vendors.
During this surprise inspection, the enforcement team not only checked the quality of the milk brought by the milkman's to the city but also visited sweet shops and checked the quality of the milk and products. "The team destroyed about 150 Ltrs of low quality/adulterated milk which was not fit for human consumption, official added .
During the inspection, the team exhorted shopkeepers to avoid selling the adulterated milk, sweets and display the rate list in their respective shops failing which we are not giving any warnings now but taking against the erring shopkeepers. |
