| Rape of minor girl | | Submit me report by May 18 HC to state | | Jammu, May 08, Justice Nirmal Singh of Jammu and Kashmir High Court on Tuesday directed the state government through Principal Government Medical College Jammu to constitute an expert medical board for carrying out medical examination of the minor rape victim whose brother Rishi Kumar,a resident of Doda, allegedly died in police custody. Justice Singh, after hearing a writ petition filed by the rape victim in which she had demanded a CBI inquiry and registration of the FIR against in charge police officer Karar police post, under section 302 along with 376 RPC for alleged rape committed on her and custodial killing of her brother Rishi Kumar, the court directed the state government to submit the report of medical examination of the rape victim till May 18 along with the investigation report. Justice Nirmal Singh also directed the Investigation Officer (IO) to produce the whole record regarding investigation in to the case of alleged custodial killing of Rishi Kumar. The matter will be taken up on 21st of May, 2007 for further proceeding. In her writ petition, the rape victim while demanding a CBI probe had stated that she donot have any faith in police agency as instead of tracing the real culprits, the Police Post, Karara, killed his real brother Rishi Kumar and raped her. Ramesh Arora (Adv.) had filed this petition on behalf of rape victim.
