| Authorities unmoved, elections to KCMS keep on delaying | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Sept 21: Cooperative Societies Department of Jammu and Kashmir has failed to conduct the election of Chairman of the Kathua Cooperative Marketing Society (KCMS) even after its term expired.
Deputy Development Commissioner District Kathua Shaheed Iqbal has already admitted that completion of the tenure of Chairman of the Kathua Marketing Cooperative Society is over and election is pending and chair cannot function without conducting the further elections as per the norms.
So far as the Department of Registrar Cooperative Societies is concerned it has also admitted that election of the post of Chairman of Kathua Marketing Cooperative Society is delaying since 3rd of August but in this connection till date no notification is issued by the higher authority while the matter had been put into the notice, Deputy Registrar Jammu.
High level of negligence of the Department of Cooperative Societies of Jammu and Kashmir is the matter of serious concern that places question marks on the sense of responsibility and functioning system of the department.
It also quotes the credibility of concerned minister Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma who is the main head of the department. |
