The Jawans of Rashtriya Rifles (RR) today busted a militant’s hideout at Roshan gali area in Kishtwar and recovered a huge cache of ammunition and other materials from the spot. According to reports, a party of 63 RR launched a search operation in Roshan gali area after booking specific information that some militants were hiding in the area. During search, party busted a hideout and recovered some ammunition which includes 2 Chinese grenades, five UBGL, one wireless set, 12 bore rifle, AK magazine, SLR magazine each and rounds of AK, 303 rifle. Party also recovered about 50 kg of ration and some other materials from the spot.
According to sources, unidentified militants have dumped the entire cache ammunition in the area and fled from the spot on the information of search operation by troops. Meanwhile, the search was on to nab the unidentified persons believed to be militants who dumped the cache in the area.
