| ASCOMS employees welfare association withdraw strike | | |

Ascoms Employees Welfare Association Jammu affiliated with Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh has withdrawn its strike notice which was served upon to ASCOM management saying that the management has signed a memorandum of settlement over the charter of demand before the assistant labour commissioner Jammu.
“The management has accepted the demands regarding the salary of about 700 employees increased on an average of Rs 500 which will cost about of Rs 4 lac P.M. Among other demands the employees will be entitled for medical treatment minimum of Rs 5000/- and if cost of treatment will increase 50% subsidiary will be given to all the employees,” said association press release.
It added that employees will be entitled for leave benefits and increment of all those employees, which were held up by one reason or other, will be also released very shortly.
The employees association assured to cooperate with the management for betterment of institution. The employees association thanked to the Assistant labour Commissioner Jammu for calling both the parties cross the table for talks and speedily meeting were held to settle demands the employees association also thanked the labour minister Mangat Ram Sharma.
The memorandum of settlement signed by Lakshman Ravinder Singh president of association and senior Leader of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh and Gen secretary Rajesh Jamwal law officer of association and by Vinod Sharma personnel manager and Bhupinder Jamwal law officer of ascoms management in the presence of Harbans Choudhary State gen. Secretary B.M.S, Bushan Sharma, Sachin Bali, Ravinder Singh Salathia, and Parkash Singh announced in general body meeting of the association held today at Geeta Bhawan Jammu, said in a press release by the association.
