| Gold ‘shiner’ arrested by Gandhi Nagar police | | |

Gandhi Nagar police today arrested a cheat, who had decamped with gold from a house in the area.
According to reports, a youth aged about 18/19 years went to the house of Rani wife of Thoru Ram resident of Nai Basti and shined her utensils.
He later offered to shine her gold chain and promising to make it look new.
The accused dipped the chain in some chemical and asked her to keep it in refrigerator for some time as he left the house.
However, the housewife became suspicious and took the said gold chain to a Gold smith, where it was found that the said youth had removed the gold from the said chain.
In this regard, a case under FIR No. 166/07 u/s 420/379 RPC has been registered at police station, Gandhi Nagar.
During the course of investigation, accused namely Ajay Kumar son of Devi Mandal resident of Tika Pati, Distt. Purain, Bihar has been arrested in the case and on his disclosure some chemical / gold has been recovered.
